UE1GT Universal Wheelchair Electronics are designed for use with BOUNDER mobility equipment but can sometimes be used with other equipment. The UE1GT’s high output current capability (over 120A per motor) and fast response to control stick movement facilitates faster but also better controlled starts, stops and turns than most competitive electronics. UE1GT Drive Modules can be set to free wheel or stop rapidly upon control stick release, or anywhere between these two extremes. UE1GT electronics include a smart brake release switch for ease of manually pushing a chair. UE1GT electronics are compatible with most wheelchair motor and brake systems, and are a perfect match for 21st's Super Torque Series motors and brakes. |

• Light Touch - low force will move the joystick • Fully Proportional • Sturdy diecast metal box with black powder coat finish • Three high reliability switches: POWER, SELECT and AUX SW 1 • Multi-function 1/2" alphanumeric LED display (shows battery condition when driving, displays error codes and other user information) • 3 Ultra-Brite LED's indicate BRAKE RELEASED, ERROR and ECU status • 6 Ultra-Brite LED's indicate which DRIVE [A-F or attendant drive program AC ( slanted A)], ACCESSORY A-F or ECU channel (A or B) is active • 7 Ultra-Brite LED's show the SA GROUP (Seating Actuator Group) selected |
|
The POWER switch turns the electronics on and off, the joystick controls driving the chair. The bidirectional SELECT switch chooses any of 6 programs (A-F) when the chair is being driven. AUX SW 1 is programmable and can be used to control various accessories and functions. The BATTERY CONDITION meter shows the battery condition from 1 to 10 and also doubles as an ERROR CODE display. When the SELECT switch is operated, the display also shows the drive program or function for 1 second. If a charger is plugged in, the display shows a lower case "c" for charger. The built-in ammeter is toggled on and off by pressing the POWER switch down. The ammeter displays 1-15A in 1A increments; automatically turns off after 5 minutes. |

UE1GT Driver Hand Control with 3 toggle switches: POWER, SELECT & AUX 1 |
|
RD |
Remote Display separate from joystick
& switches [typically used with a separate control that has a joystick
and switches (e.g., chin control), specialty controls and sometimes attendant controls] |
CB KEY LOCK |
Adds a key switch at the front of the hand control (includes
2 keys) |
HC SP |
Add speed pot to hand control instead of AUX SW 1 |
CB CHIN BIB |
Bib mount chin control (less bib & chincup) |
CB CHIN FRONT |
Chin control with front facing switches (less mount & chincup) |
ACDC |
Attendant control / dual control. Operates
in addition to a Driver Control (DHC). Includes 3 swtches: POWER, SELECT and ACDC AUX SW. |
AC ONLY |
Attendant control only (no driver control).
An ACDC is installed instead of a Driver Hand Control. An RD can be
added. |
CB JRP |
Machined metal joystick retention plate, strengthens the joystick mechanism for people with spasms. Attaches under rubber boot to prevent joystick stick-ball from being pried out of the top of the joystick. |
CUS CB |
Custom hand, foot or chin control (tell us what you need!) |
STD HC MOUNT |

or right mount) |
| Chin control mounting bracket (specify left or right mount) |
|
| Power chin control mount. Actuator swings chin control
and boom to side about 90 degrees when control switch is operated. Bi-directional
momentary toggle switch control is standard. Other custom control switches
and methods of control are possible. (specify left or right mount) See
animation below. |

DX or PG Drives Programmable Electronics can be installed on chairs when appropriate. They are typically used for switch, sip & puff, and headrest array controlled chairs. ST4M&B-M are usually required to achieve the necessary high torque at very slow speeds. Top speed is limited to that appropriate for the user's capabilities and the type of controls that are installed. Two to five MPH is typical. Attendant controls, combined lighting and seating actuator module, specialty controls remote (with LCD screen on gooseneck mount), etc. are commonly installed. Contact the factory for additional information. DX and PG Drives Electronics are not recommended for those who can utilize our standard UE1GT electronics. DX and PG Drives Electronics are also not recommended for speeds above 6 MPH. |

ASL Wheelchair Control Systems can be installed on chairs when appropriate. Headrest arrays (with or without sip & puff and lip switches), proximity switches, fiber optic arrays and beam switches can be used. DX or PG Drives electronics are normally installed with ASL controls. DX or PG Drives Electronics are not recommended for those who can utilize our standard UE1GT electronics. DX or PG Drives Electronics are also not recommended for speeds above 6 MPH. It is possible to use an ASL headrest array in conjunction with our standard UE1GT chin control systems to control a power seating actuator such as tilt or recline, or to control a power chin control mount (to move the chin control to and from the user's face). |
